How do I create a new space?

Start your own — you'll be its Owner

Anyone can create a space — and when you create one, you become its Owner. Being invited to a relative's space doesn't stop you from starting your own.

  1. Tap the space name at the top of the menu to open the space switcher.
  2. Tap + Create a space.
  3. Give it a title — your family name, the branch of the family, whatever feels right. (At least 3 characters.)
  4. Tap the create button, and your space is ready.

If you're brand new to Memrico and weren't invited anywhere, this is also your first stop — Memrico walks you straight into creating your first space after sign-up.

As the Owner you can: rename the space, invite people and set their roles, manage the trash, and see storage for the space. Your new space starts empty — add your first photos and it comes to life.

Switching between spaces: tap the space name in the menu any time. Owned spaces show an Owner badge; spaces you've joined appear under Shared With You.
