I'm in someone's Memrico photos. How do I have my face data deleted?

No account needed. One email, and we take care of it

You don't need a Memrico account. Email privacy@memrico.com and we'll delete the face data. A parent or legal guardian can ask on behalf of a child.

What to include, so we can find the right photos:

  • The name of the Memrico member who added the photos.
  • The space or album, if you know it.
  • Which photos, as best you can describe them: when or where they were taken, who else is in them.
  • How you know the member, for example "my sister" or "a friend from the wedding".

We will never ask you to send a photo of your face. We confirm a request by identifying the member, the space, and the photos, or by checking with the member who added them.

What happens next: we delete the face data, meaning the face measurements Rico uses to recognize you, and let you know when it's done. The photos themselves belong to the member who added them and aren't changed by this request. If you'd like a photo itself taken down, the quickest route is to ask that member. We keep a short record that your request was made and honored. It contains no face data.

If you're a Memrico member yourself, you can delete any person from People in your own spaces, no email needed. See What happens if I turn face recognition off?

The full details, including how long deletion takes, are in our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy and our Biometric Data Retention and Destruction Schedule.
