What is a space?

Your family's private home for photos and the people in them

A space is your family's shared home for photos and the people in them. Everything in Memrico happens inside a space: the photos you upload, the albums that organize them, the meetups where you talk about them, and the people you've invited.

Spaces are private. Only the people invited into a space can see what's in it. Nothing is public, and nothing is shared outside the space unless a member creates an invitation or share link.

Inside a space:

  • Photos live in the space's timeline, filed by the date they were taken.
  • Albums gather photos into stories — the reunion, the wedding, the summer trip. Albums organize photos; they don't hide them.
  • Members each have a role: the Owner runs the space, Admins have full control, Curators organize and tag, and Subscribers view the albums shared with them, with comments and likes.

You can belong to more than one space — the one you created for your own family, and ones relatives invited you to. Tap the space name in the menu to switch; your spaces are grouped under Your Spaces and Shared With You.
